"Hutch Tech" High School (built 1913) was originally designed by architect H. Osgood Holland. The original building consisted of four above grade stories and a varying height ground floor and basement. The building's "H" design leant itself to interior alterations and an addition within the existing volume, creating the required square footage as well as a NYSED compliant gymnasium.
Gym, locker rooms, cafeteria, auditorium and administration occupy the ground floor. The upper floors are transformed to accommodate 21st century shop and laboratory spaces, which are the core of this school's technical program.
