HHL Architects provides award-winning institutional, commercial and residential architectural design services throughout New York State - specifically in the Buffalo-Niagara, or Western New York, Region. Established in 1969, HHL is a professional corporation for the practice of architecture.  The firm was founded specifically to focus organized design disciplines in the Buffalo/Western New York area to improve this area's environment. In the process the firm's activity and concern has expanded to other parts of the United States and abroad.  The firm's practice consists of a team approach to the execution of its projects. Office meetings concentrate the expertise of diverse backgrounds in design, production, planning and management on a wide spectrum of current projects. Teams are formed on the basis of individual expertise and innovative design ability. At least two principals are thoroughly familiar with each project from initiation to completion.  The firm's team approach includes working with carefully selected consultants. Through experience, HHL has developed the ability to assemble expertise from both local and nationwide sources to fit particular client needs. This selection brings to bear a project team of 75 to 125 or more if required for any given project.

HHL's concern for both users and their environment has led to working extremely closely with its clients to effect optimum realization of their goals and has deeply involved the firm in projects oriented towards community development.  To date HHL has successfully completed many commissions ranging from complex commercial, medical, educational, recreational, industrial and housing facilities to projects such as clinics, community centers, urban design, facility space planning and graphics. The firm has its own computer aided design technology and equipment which it uses as both a design and a production tool. Through intimate knowledge of government and private agencies, contractors, suppliers and building codes, the firm is able to move projects from inception to completion expeditiously. To complete projects within budget and on time, accelerated scheduling and fast tracking are often employed. HHL takes particular pride in its responsiveness to client needs, efficiency of production, quality of design, thoroughness of construction documents and responsible project administration in all phases of work. The firm is especially concerned with accuracy and quality of construction.
