HHL Architects developed an adaptive reuse design to the former second floor auditorium, converting it into much needed student club rooms, student lounge, and multi-purpose meeting/banquet facilities for students, faculty, and the public.

The lower level houses the main student club and student lounge spaces. Also included in the project was the modernization of the elevators, including the replacement of both passenger and freight elevators. A new passenger elevator was designed to provide improved access from the basement (tunnel) level to the second floor. The new freight elevator was extended to provide food service access from the ground floor kitchen to the newly created second floor banquet space, as well as the existing fireside lounge.
